The 3rd Global Textile Economic Forum was grandly held at Diaoyutai State Guest House on March 27, 2006. This event was organized when the new trade conflicts emerged in the process of textile and clothing trade globalization. Top officials from international economic and industrial organizations, national and regional commercial and industrial bodies, diplomats in Beijing and the textile and clothing players from home and abroad were invited to hold the discussion on the theme of "Cooperation, Development and Fair Trade". A total of 350 guests joined this event and shared their views and ideas on the development of free trade, WTO trade rules, solutions to trade conflicts and the international cooperation on trade and brands.
